This month we have extended our range of Gorilla Spirits from Silverback Gin, with the additions of an Old Tom gin and a Maraba Coffee Liqueur.
Gorilla Spirits was first conceived in 2010. Whilst another 5 years went by before their launch of Silverback Gin in December 2015, there's been little looking back since.
Silverback Old Tom blends their contemporary style gin with a style which became popular in 18th-century England. You will find this gin packed with flavour and a little sweeter than London Dry. It's the perfect gin for some classic cocktails such as a Tom Collins and it makes a deliciously different G&T too.
The rich volcanic soils on the high-altitude hills of Maraba, a district of Rwanda, produce some of the world's finest Bourbon Arabica coffee. The very best beans are selected from individual growers by our friend at Moonroast Coffee who then roast and grind them at their craft roastery just a few miles from our distillery in Hampshire. We then use the grounds to create this wonderfully rich Maraba Coffee Liqueur which has deep buttery chocolate flavours and a fruity overtone.
Don't forget - through buying Gorilla spirits, you are helping to protect mountain gorillas in the wild. £1 of every bottle is donated to The Gorilla Organisation, who works at the very forefront of gorilla conservation with innovative and award-winning projects in Rwanda, Uganda and DR Congo. Its field staff in Africa, supported by fundraising and communications teams in London, oversee a range of grassroots conservation projects, all of them aimed at addressing the key threats facing gorillas today.
