Wines
Sweetness: Dry
Grape: Shiraz
Grape info: A native of the northern Rhône valley where, until relatively recently, it was more-or-less confined, Syrah produces full bodied wines with complex notes of leather, liquorice, and black pepper supported by soft, structural tannins, a weighty mid palate and age-worthy potential.
About: Grown on sandy / limestone soils in South Australia, Shiraz requires careful water management as it readily dry out during the summer months. Supplementary irrigation and proper canopy management are adapted to suit each individual site in order to achieve full ripeness.
Warm temperature fermentation over six days ensures the optimal extraction of tannin and colour whilst retaining Shiraz’ natural aromatics.
Tasting note: Concentrated plum and spice aromas are supported with subtle notes of vanilla. Medium bodied with soft tannins alongside notes of black cherries, red currants and hints of leather and tobacco.
Character: Cherry, plum, spice
