Cotes du Rhone Grezas (Organic)

Sweetness: Dry

Grapes: Grenache Noir, Syrah, Carignan

Grape info: A blend of 50% Grenache, 40% Syrah and 10% Carignan. Grenache provides a ripe fruitiness and deep colour along with a herby, spicey character. Syrah lends its signature soft tannins, weighty mid-palate and notes of leather, liquorice, and black pepper. Carignan offers acidity, tannin and colour.

About: Located in the south of the Ardèche region, brothers Eric and Cyril Bouchon cultivate vines on the clay and limestone soils of the Côte du Rhône. Grapes are harvested at peak ripeness in order to extract maximum flavour and colour from the rich berries. After destemming, the grapes undergo cold maceration for three days before aging in vats prior to bottling.

Tasting note: Deep red with a hint of ruby in colour. Fruity, with notes of raspberry and blackcurrant on the nose. The palate is also fruit-forward, with a hint of liquorice. A soft structure with fine and silky tannins. A long and smooth finish
