Sweetness: Dry
Grape: Glera (Prosecco), Pinot Nero
Grape info: In 2020 the Italian government finally gave the green light for the much-anticipated Prosecco Rosé designation, permitting the addition of up to 15% Pinot Nero (Pinot Noir) to the white Glera for the production of rosés. Glera produces characteristically light, citrussy wines with a delicate floral dimension, here enriched with Pinot Nero for a more evolved fruit and floral character.
Info: Founded in the hills of Valdobbiadene, La Tordera is at the heart of the Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG production area, between Venice and the Dolomites. Always on the lookout for innovation whilst mindful of their bond with our land and its traditions, they pursue ever more "green” approaches to winemaking in harmony with the environment.
The Pinot Nero is cold-soaked for a short period prior to fermentation in contact with the skins. The Glera is vinified separately before being combined for a second fermentation in stainless steel tanks for a minimum of sixty days.
Tasting note: Marries perfectly with fresh fruits or Eaton Mess pudding.
Character: Floral, fruity, refreshing
