Grape info: A native of the Loire Valley in France, Chenin can and is made in almost every conceivable style. South Africa has the largest area under vine in the world. Here, it’s prized for its ability to retain acidity in the heat, proving extremely useful in everything from blends to sparkling wines. Typically zesty and fresh with notes of honey, apples and straw.

Using only the best quality ’free-run’ juice, the Chenin is fermented at low temperatures before a two month aging period on the lees before release.
Tasting note: Packed with upfront tropical fruit, the nose charms with an abundance of guava and gooseberries. These fruit flavours follow through on the palate, balanced by a crisp acidity to ensure a fresh and fruity style of wine.
